Your balance, step by step
Different jobs. Different paydays. One clear plan.
Hourly rates, payroll cutoffs, travel allowances and payment dates can be hard to juggle. Bring them together in one easy-to-read view.
Different payroll schedules. No clear monthly total.
A cutoff on the 15th with payment on the 25th. A month-end cutoff with payment on the 20th of the next month. Working out who pays what, and when, gets confusing fast.
Set each employer’s pay rules once. ShiftNote automatically calculates confirmed and estimated pay for each payday from your calendar.
Will payday arrive before your card bill?
When bills fall due before your wages arrive, you can find yourself checking your account again and again. A missed payment can have consequences beyond your balance.
A step chart brings income and outgoing payments together so you can spot a potential shortfall before it happens.
Entering every shift twice is hard to keep up with.
Copying the same shifts into your calendar and a separate pay app takes time. Small updates pile up, and the habit soon falls apart.
Just add shifts to your usual Google Calendar. Background syncing takes care of the rest, with no duplicate entry.
On your phone. On your laptop. Always the same live numbers.
Check your projected balance during a break, then plan your month and adjust card payments on your computer at home. The fast, browser-based PWA works smoothly across devices.
Four ways to connect your shifts and your money
Go beyond an hourly-pay calculator. Plan income across multiple jobs with a built-in cash flow forecast.
Automatic Google Calendar sync
Identify each job from calendar event titles such as “Café 18:00–23:00” or “Tutoring.” Break deductions and night premiums are calculated and reflected in your pay in real time.
Pay rules for every workplace
Set each job’s hourly rate, 25% night premium after 22:00, daily travel allowance, 15- or 30-minute rounding, payroll cutoff and payday. Keep different employment terms in one place.
Cash flow, one payment at a time
See your balance move in steps, just like a bank account, as wages arrive and bills leave. Spot temporary shortfalls caused by the gap between paydays and outgoing payments.
Interactive weekly and monthly views
See completed shifts and upcoming income together. Clear colors distinguish confirmed pay from estimates, with one-tap recalculation when shifts change or you work overtime.

“I work at a café and a tutoring school, and I could never keep track of which payday was coming next. With ShiftNote, I can see at a glance whether there will be enough in my account when my card payment is due. It is such a relief.”
“I just add shifts to Google Calendar, and it even calculates night premiums and travel allowances. I gave up on my old shift app because entering everything was a hassle. This fits right into the calendar I already use.”
“I love the sharp black-and-white design. It reminds me of Uber and modern fintech apps. I actually look forward to checking the step chart each month. It works well for tracking my freelance payments too.”

ShiftNote is currently optimized for Google Calendar. You can also sync iCloud Calendar and Outlook through Google Calendar. Direct integrations with other scheduling apps, including TimeTree, are planned for the future.
Q. Can I customize night-shift pay and break rules?
Yes. Detailed settings include a 25% night premium from 22:00 to 05:00, automatic 45-minute breaks for shifts of six hours or more, 60-minute breaks for eight hours or more, and 15-minute time rounding. These options accommodate common workplace rules in Japan.

Data in transit and at rest is protected with TLS 1.3 and AES-256 encryption. We use Google’s official OAuth 2.0 authorization, so we never store your Google password. We do not share your data with third parties.
